Recognition for Excellence in Education

Schaltbau receives award for training and rising numbers of trainees

Schaltbau GmbH has been awarded by the Federal Employment Agency for excellent training and increasing numbers of trainees. The certificate was handed over today during a festive ceremony. It recognizes the high quality of training at Schaltbau and the continuous improvement of training opportunities.

“For us, training not only means having the best specialists for tomorrow, but we want to make a contribution to the development of young talent and to promoting their professional careers,” says Jana-Sophie Kamm, Head of Human Resources. “That’s why we attach great importance to further qualification even after the training, in order to enable the best possible career development for all our employees. Career paths such as that from trainee to plant manager show that this approach works.”

Each year, Schaltbau offers around 13 students the opportunity to start an apprenticeship at two locations in Germany.

“I am very pleased that the employment agency has now honored our efforts in all aspects of training with an award,” says Steffi Schreiner, Head of Training at the Schaltbau plant in Velden, who accepted the award today and started her career as a Schaltbau trainee. “Unfortunately, all positions have already been filled for the start of training in summer 2023, but those who finish school in 2024 can apply to us now or simply try out a one-week trial internship to see whether an apprenticeship at Schaltbau the right thing for them is”.
